I read this one last week and it blew my mind! I really recommend it, especially to lovers of fairy tale retelling, Robin Hood, historical fiction, action and basically anyone looking for a great read!!

Score! I'm so happy to finally have these beautiful books. I got them from the library and boy was I ever happy to see them. 

Sever - Lauren DeStefano
The Chemical Garden trilogy is among my favourites. It's also one of the books I read back when dystopian was starting to become really popular and I adored it. Personally I liked that it's different, its a bit more dark and intense and I like it for that.

Just One Day - Gayle Forman
As for Just One Day, I've been waiting for it ever since I read Where She Went and completely fell in love Gayle Forman's books! Guys if you haven't already you must check out that book, but make sure to read If I Stay first :) 
The Indigo Spell - Richelle Mead

And lastly but certainly not the least I got INDIGO SPELL!!! I adore Richelle Mead and the VA series is till date one of my top 5 favourite of all time. Can't wait to see what happens in this one!

Movie News - Divergent

Just for your information I'm imagining myself doing summersaults as I write this post! The reason behind my happiness is because the actor who will be playing Four/ Tobias in the much awaited Divergent movie was announced today! Squeals!!!!

My Thoughts: Personally I'm really happy with this choice. I'm glad they didn't go with Alex Pettyfer, personally I never envision him as Four and don't really know how it would have worked out. But, I trust that Theo will be transformed into the perfect Four. My only problem I think is the fact that he is 29.. where Four is supposed to be 18. I'm not really sure about that but after all age is but a number :)

My Review:

Destroy Me picks up right where Shatter Me left off but this time we are seeing through Warner's perspective. And guys... It was awesome! In this novella we get a deep look into Warner's mind and life. We get a more in depth view of what he believes in and things that he went through in order to become who he is now.

For the first time in his life Warner is rendered incapable of taking care of himself and it is a side effect of him letting down his guard and falling in love. Throughout the story he is struggling with himself, his feelings and his past. He feels as though he has been betrayed by Juliette and now his wounded condition has left him helpless against his enemies. While he is struggling in the inside his compound is slowly coming apart. Or at least he believes it must be, after all why wouldn't his soldiers and rivals use his time of weakness to rebel.

I liked Warner from book one. I knew I shouldn't but I just couldn't help myself. Yes, he is quite evil but he isn't the one dimensional cliché antagonist that we see in most stories and that is why I like him so much. Actually, I wouldn't call it 'like' I think a better word would be intrigued, I am intrigued by him because he is a character who has a potential to be more than just the antagonist. In fact, I feel like he can be the hero! Now that would be an interesting turn of events!

Anyway, In Destroy Me we get to revisit the destroyed land of Shatter Me once more and see the results of the events that take place in Shatter Me through the eyes of one very controversial character. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series. Four stars, but only because I found it slow at times. Overall a great little read and much recommended. As for those who haven't picked up this series, the time is now!

I Number Four - Pittacus Lore

This week was pretty slow for me.. not much reading took place but I managed to get ahold of these two beauties! I haven't read either yet. But I did watch the I Am Number Four movie, it wasn't the best but it was enjoyable and I've been told that the book is better. As for Beautiful Creatures I've been meaning to read it for a long time and I'm planning to see the movie tomorrow.. So I won't have read the book before watching the movie but I still can't wait to read it :)

I am so excited to read the final instalment in this series. Kelley Armstrong is one of my favourite authors. I adored her Darkest Powers Trilogy and can't wait to see what happens when these two amazing series collide. The trailer really got me excited for more of this awesomeness, especially when it showed Derek and Chloe! I thought it was a good trailer. A little short but it got the point through and made the reader excited for the book. What else can we ask for? Oh and lastly, what did you think of the face they put on Derek and the rest of the characters? I kind of like it ^_^

I went on a little library splurge after my exams to get these awesome books! I am so excited to get back into these worlds as all three of the books are sequels. Also, I'm actually currently reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and I'm really enjoying it so I can't wait to finish it and jump right into the sequel! And not to mention, the LAST BOOK in the Blue Bloods Series. This series has been more of a feel good series for me. The books aren't the best pieces of literature but I still enjoy them and I can't wait to see how it all ends!

My Review:

I have heard nothing but rave reviews about this one and I am proud to say I understand where all those people come from. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry is one thought provoking and enigmatic book. I for one absolutely loved it!

Reading the synopsis for the first time it reminded me of Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles one of my all time favourite books. But upon reading the book itself  it proved to be much more than a book like Perfect Chemistry. It was its own book and I loved it for that.

Pushing the Limits follows two troubled teens from different sides of the social spectrum who through a series of events are put together. Echo Emerson is the ex-miss popular of the school and Noah Hutchins is loner/junkie of the school. When the two collide it would be an understatement to say that 'sparks fly'. They aggravate each other yet they also understand each other more then anyone else ever could. 

I seriously loved all the characters in this book. I felt they were all well rounded, realistic and lovable. You also get a good taste of each of the main characters as the book is formatted in chapters that alternate between Echo and Noah's points of view. 

Echo's world was turned upside down after an incident with her mother that left her marked for life and struggling to put back the pieces of her shattered life. She struggled throughout the book with her insecurities and her lack of memory from that night. But she didn't sit back and whine about it throughout the book, instead there were moments when she showed her strong nature and personality. Those moments slowly increased and by the end of the book her growth along with the others was really rewarding. 

Noah was another of those male characters who have the bad boys bravado but are actually good in the inside. He is a caring guy who is trying to deal with the lemons that life keeps dishing at him. His relationship with his brothers broke my heart. Sometimes I had to stop and really take in the conversations. I loved how much he cared about his family and showed that through constantly persevering to do what was best for them and to make his parents proud.

Something else that I absolutely adored about this book was how great a role the side characters played. The families were present instead of being introduced and then disappearing for the rest of the book. Which in the end helped with the realism of the book and really boosted how much I enjoyed the book.

Overall, Pushing the Limits was a refreshing read. It dealt with some dark and serious matters but in a very mature and realistic way. The love story was a great touch and the characters were among my favourite. All in all, a fantastic book deserving of all the hype.

I am so excited to read this one! Legend was amazing and Marie Lu is a fantastic writer. As for the trailer itself WOW! I love how book trailers are slowly evolving from a very short and low quality ad to a full on portrayal of the book in video format. I think the trailer to Prodigy was especially well done. It makes me even more excited to finally pick this one up!

Oh Man! Was I happy to realized that there was another book in this epic world or what! Grave Mercy was one of my favourite books of 2012, so it is only fair that I cannot wait to get my hands on some more lady assassin. I absolutely love the concept of assassins and devour books about them, so I'm very excited for more. Also, this book follows Sybella who is a character that we meet in Grave Mercy. Personally, I found her very interesting and mysterious so I'm looking forward to learning more about her and her story!

My Review:
Oh man! Here goes another gushy review. I just can't help myself, Shatter Me is nothing if not totally gush worthy. Anyways lets get on with the review.

The book revolves around Juliette Ferrars who has been locked up by The Reestablishment, a militaristic government of the future, because of her ability to kill a grown man with the simple touch of her hands. For 264 days Juliette has been alone in her cell, deprived of another humans touch. Until, one day she gets a cell mate. And not just any cell mate, its a boy, he is about her age, named Adam and she could have sworn that she'd known him before. 

The story picks up from there and soon enough you are sent on a crazy whirlwind of adventures. You meet new character of whom, some you just absolutely love and others that you despise. I personally loved Warner, who was the antagonist of the story. He was just truly evil and epic. He is one of those character that one loves to hate and is a thrill to read about.

Juliette, wow! She is strong, intelligent, beautiful and independent. I absolutely loved her! She was anything but the damsel in distress. In fact she was the exact opposite. Juliette could give a lot of those male hero's a run for their money and I love that about her.

As for Adam. I LOVE Adam. He is one of the sweetest, most caring and amazing male protagonist in YA. Absolutely incredible. He just proves that the good boys don't always finish last. Overall, Shatter Me was a complete character hit. I loved the characters in this book. They were all very well developed and round characters that I just gobbled up!

Something else that really stood out in this book besides the fantastic plot and characters, was Tahereh Mafi's writing. Oh my goodness, it was beautiful, poetic and just magnificent. I have to admit there was one or two phrases in the book that I found a bit cheesy but the rest was AMAZING. Hands down Tahereh you are awesome!

To conclude, Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi is another one of those epic dystopians that you just can't help but add to your ever growing pile of book you would like to marry! So definitely pick this one up and give it a go. Especially if you are a dystopian fan!

I recently read the Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and utterly loved it. But besides that I found loads of quotes within the book that I found so sweet and meaningful!

Okey dokey! First off I want to thank Laura @ Colorimetry for tagging me for this awesome tag :) And at the same time apologize for taking soo long to answer them... my excuse is my laziness. I know not a good one but without further ado lets get to the questions!

1. Do you have an all-time favorite book? Which one?

Oh man! I am one of those people who loves everything I read (well almost everything :D) But if I have to choose, it will have to be Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. I absolutely love that book and reread it every year... sometimes more than once a year :)

2. If you could move into a book, which book would it be? (Your favorite?)

Move in... I will say Harry Potter. I mean who doesn't want to be a witch at Hogwarts? I sure do!

3. Is there a scene burned on your memory? Do share!

Hard one.. there are too many scenes burned into my memory but the one that just came to mind is the scene between Rose and Dimitri in the end of Blood Promise by Richelle Mead ! Uh heart wrenching!

4. Is there an author that you own (almost) all of their books? Who?

No... *looks down in shame* I have more of a variety of books from different authors. But one author that I have more books by then others is Stephen King. I am starting to get more into his books!

5. What question would you ask any author?

Um... where do they get their incredible ideas and how do they manage to come up with such intricate plots? (I know... I am a very boring person)

6. What book did you rate the highest in the past month or two? Why?

Uh oh! 2012 hasn't served as the best reading year for me so far.. at least that's what my Goodreads says, as I am apparently 7 books behind on my 100 books challenge. But out of the 6 books I've read so far I've rated five of them as 5 stars. So I will list them!

-Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare (Why? One word, Will!)

-Epic Fail by Claire Lazebnik (This one was a great read, really enjoyable and fast paced.. also Pride and Prejudice retelling!)

-Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (AMAZING! The action, suspense, romance ahh!)

-Legend by Marie Lu (Ahh! Another epic dystopian. One thing you should know about me is, I am a sucker for anything dystopian!)

-The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith (The sweetest thing ever!)

7. Have you pre-ordered a book for 2012? Which one(s) can't you wait to get?

I am actually banned from purchasing anymore books... as I have a tendency off going over board when it comes to books :D But one that I know I will be standing outside the books store to get this year is Insurgent by Veronica Roth. Eek! So excited.

8. I'm looking for a great read... what book do you recommend? 

The Statistical Probabilty of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith. This one is great for a fun read and its quick!

9. What would you like to see more of in books?

Strong female protagonists. I know this one is becoming more common and I am really glad for it as there is nothing worse for me then a books where the female protagonist has no backbone.

That is a great question! Of course I would like to be a kick-ass heroine. I would love some kind of cool ability like time traveling or invisibility. Ohh and I must have awesome moves.. karate? Hehe I am getting ahead of myself XD
